its not extreme to say that its like someone close to you has died.She is someone who has dedicated her life to softball and has so much passion for the sport that she is brought to tears by the prosepect that what she has put YEARS of her life into is going to be taken from her and others with the same dreams.Olympic softball lost by ONE vote.if you think it is extreme, think about how NBA players would react if someone basicially cancelled them. The olympics is basicially the NBA of softball.

I can understand what Jessica is feeling. I love watching softball any chance I get. I work on a cruise ship in Hawaii and don’t get the chance to watch tv, but when they were showing the bound for Bejing tour I would rush out of work ASAP just to watch them play. It is sad that younger females might not ever get the chance to play they way these girls have played. I hope and pray they bring softball back.

it is a little extreme, but Jessica Mendoza has a passion and love for this game that’s hard to explain. But it’s definitely seen through her actions and words. If you follow this team and you familiarize yourself with Jessica, it’s easy to see why she would use such an “extreme” comparison.
