First Off::: I KNOW my videos were shaky…my hand was having some spazzing moments, and I wanted to TRY and get everything that was going on at the moment…What did you want me to do, waltz on the field with a tripod or something?

Thanks to the Jonas Brothers’ Twitter, I was able to beg my dad to make a super quick drive to Elfstrom( Kane County Cougars) Stadium in Geneva, Illinois. (I basically grew up watching the Cougars) I got there around the 3rd inning. All of the JB fans were told to stand by the first base line…from where I stood there looked to be around 100 fans, but i guess tehre was definitley more people. We also saw two girls in metallic Peter Pan and Wendy costumes…they were great.

Kevin played right field, so it was hilarious when he would walk out to his position…all of the fans went crazy and screamed until he waved. I was pretty impressed with his softball skills…at one point the ball went under this 2-foot fence type deal they had put up, so he ran and jumped over it like an all star. I wish I had gotten it on camera, since it was a totally heroic moment. The way he throws the ball also makes me smile…he’s so cute.

Hate to say it, but Joe needs some more practice in the softball department. He can sing and dance around, bop a tambourine, and pull off bedazzled pocket jeans, but he can’t pull off the sport of softball as well…however he did make an all star catch back in center field–we all screamed a lot for that one.

Ah, Nick. Mr. Team Captain and apparently the namer of the Road Dogs. He is such a major-league all star in the making, and he knows it, too. Despite the times when he left first base during an infield line drive and was thrown out, and one of his poor throws to third during an intense play, he was an insane short-stop. He had some really good base hits, and a solid play at third. During that play the third baseman was slow on getting to the base, and you totally saw Mr. Compettitive come out…they got the play, Nick was just a bit ticked off at how close it was. If he was enrolled in a public high school, I could bet he would be on the boys baseball team-no doubt. He looks so athletic–its really insane he’s such a sporty rock star.

I’ve officially been persuaded the boy can do anything, and make it look good.

These Jonas boys are just too cute when they are engrossed in a game: The other team, The Marquee Jets, got two infield homeruns in a row late in the game, and Kevin was just not having it. He would take off his hat, run a hand through his hair and flail his arms a bit to get the point across that they weren’t doing too good. Competitive engergy was just oozing out of all of them.

The best part of watching the JB play softball was to see how much they seemed to enjoy themselves (for the most part). It was obvious that they walked onto the field with their games faces on, ready to beat the other team…which was good to see, it was different than their stage personas.

Unfortunately they got slaughtered, 23-3 (sorry boys, Marquee Jets apparently meant business). But like I said, it was crazy fun to watch them. After the game they did the “good game” line, took some pictures, and left the field to the private event in a tent next to the field..you had to be on a list. They didn’t come anywhere near the fans, they didn’t even wave to us after the game, which was a disapointment. They told us to come, but as far as I know, didn’t meet anyone.

The parking lot where their team bus was parked was blocked off by security, since all of the girls just ran to it. We got into it because that was where our car was parked. We didn’t know how long the private event would last, so we left before the JB did. I did get to see Big Rob which was super exciting for me! (i took a picture!)

I’m not sure if they met anyone after the private thing, but I do know that it was the perfect day for a ballgame…and I am so glad I had the oppurtunity to watch them play a sport that they love as much as I do.
