I love softball and it’s so much fun but people keep telling me it’s not "a real sport"
Am I the only one who gives it a lot of credit for being a great sport?
I wonder how much people are laughing about all the college athletes that play NCAA softball and get an athletic scholarship. I wonder if the losers that make fun of you will ever have such lofty goals.
Just look at all the colleges that have Softball as a varsity sport not too mention practically every state has Softball as a state championship.
ESPN has expanded coverage of NCAA COLLEGE SOFTBALL SERIES because over the last couple of years the level of interest has gone up.
also Softball was an Olympic Sport and generated allot of media attention here in the USA I mean 1 year the USA team was even on the cover of SI. I have strong feeling by 2016 either in Chicago or Tokyo the sport will be back.
yeah i think it is a real sport and if you enjoy it than what does it matter what everyone else thinks about it.

Yes it is. Im going to do softball this year.And it is a sport.Just because a female plays it doesn’t change anything! Im a cheerleader and cheerleading IS a sport.As long as you enjoy it then don’t worry about what haters gotta say !

Well let me tell you softball is in the Olympics so it’s a sport. If there is the NCAA Softball College World Series than it is a sport! BTW Go Huskies!!!!!!!!!! Anyways SOFTBALL IS MOST DEFINITELY A SPORT!!! It is a lot like baseball and why does no one question that as a sport??? Huh? I play softball and I would die for it! There is no reason people should say it is not a sport! It is just that the people who say softball isn’t a sport are wimps and could never take on this sport You have to have speed, arm strength, hand eye coordination, and a lot more to play! They are pathetic compared to Jenny Finch, Danielle Lawrie, and Jessica Mendoza, all great players and many more. You should never stop playing unless that is your own decision. Just remember that SOFTBALL IS A SPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if anyone says it isn’t then say "Softball is a sport no matter what you say and it always will be so friggin get over the fact that it is and that your wrong."

Tell some of the women who have been playing in the Women’s College World Series lately that softball is not a sport. They train just as hard as other athletes. They have to be able to hit hard, run fast, and throw straight. That takes practice and dedication.

It was proven on SportsScience on ESPN that a softball pitch is HARDER TO HIT than baseball pitch! So HA! to all those people who have told you softball isn’t a real sport

but they also might be playing on the stereotype that women play the sport and women are the weaker sex~ that whole BS
