Is softball a lesbian sport?

I don’t play softball or anything but i was justt wondering if it is because a lot of people say it is. If it is then how do like lesbians get attracted to it?
By the way I am not a lesbian I was just wondering!

no it is not an lesbian sport. many lesbians are known to play it but there are way more straight girls/women who play softball than lesbians

People like me have a lot of questions about the sport of softball.
I know there is a category for baseball but does any know why softball is not a category?

Categories are determined by how much activity there is in a specific area. If enough questions ABOUT softball were posted, over time, YA staff would probably add it. Since they have not, I would assume that there simply is not enough interest.

You can SUGGEST to staff that you would like it to be included, on the Suggestion Board on the ABOUT tab over the green bar. They have a separate place there just for suggesting new categories.

Make softball a high school sport in Wyoming?

Hello!
My favorite sport is softball but I don’t have the opportunity to play it because I live in Wyoming, the only of the 50 states that doesn’t have fastpitch softball as a high school sport.
I’ll be a junior this fall and I’ve quit playing all sports. I’m only involved in student council. I’m wondering if I should make it my goal during the next two years to work on getting the Wyoming High School Activities Association to admit softball as a sport or if I should just forget it.
The first excuse was because the weather. If they can play in Montana, Alaska, Washington, etc, we can, too. The next was that there is an equal number of girls’ sports to boys’ (which it has to be by federal law) because wrestling is considered a girl’s sport even though hardly any girls participate.
I’m so passionate about softball. It used to be my dream not to even play college softball but to play HIGH SCHOOL softball. I’ve seriously considered moving out of state. I feel really lost at school because I don’t have anything to enjoy/excell at, especially since I’ve stopped playing sports. I think I could use my platform on student council to communicate with schools among the state and then connect with the activities association.
What do you think? Is this completely unrealistic or achievable? But needless to say if I were to decide to do this, I would give it my everything until I felt successful.

I think that is a great idea and goal. I also enjoy playing softball and I was very disappointed that the new school I will be going to ( I just moved) did not have a softball team. I think to accomplish this goal you would definitely need to get more people on board with you. What fun would it be if there was only one or two teams in the whole state? Therefore, I would recommend creating a facebook page or something else to promote this. Also, be prepared for any excuses that the Activities Association may come up with like "I do not believe we could find enough coaches." or " I don’t think the schools could afford the facilities and equipment right now".
But anyways.. good luck! I think the world would be a better place with more people like you around!

is baseball really better then softball?

i have been playing for 13 years+ and all my friends think that compared to baseball or video gaming that softball is not a sport. also that because softball is not in the major leagues ( but they are in the olympics!) is it not a sport. also because WOW (world of warcraft) has more members/players. i need back to show softball is more of a sport then gaming and its just as equal to baseball.

Your question is like asking are apples better than oranges. While they are very similar, they are two unique sports.

is weight training considered a sport in universities?

I’m choosing my electives for next year’s school year and I would like to know if Weight Training is considered the same as other sports such as volleyball, softball, soccer, and basketball. The reason why I want to know this is because I’m not much of a sports person, but I want to be fit and sports are really good for universities. Weight Training is followed by the letters "Ind. Sprts". Yes, I know it says sports, I’m just trying to clear my doubts. Please help, I need to turn this in tomorrow.

Although it is not a "sport", it should serve as a good substitute for a sport for admissions purposes.

I’m going to 9th grade and it’s my first year of high school. Wrestling is the sport I like the most, but it dosen’t start until winter (november). also i can’t decide on what to join in the spring.

this fall i’m joining cross country running

this winter i’m joining wrestling (my main sport)

the spring sports are softball, track & field, baseball, and golf. Which one do you think i should join?

if you are an upper weight wrestler i would do field but if you are in the smaller weights and just want to do something after school play baseball

Im 13 and i have tried alot of sports…Softball,soccer,swimming,basketball but havent liked any of them.I want to get into kickboxing but not like at the gym where you do it to get in shape i want to get into competition. I have no clue where to start I live in Atlanta,Georgia any places to get into competition…? Thanks everyone for the answers.

The Yellow Pages would be your first start.
From there look up Karate Schools. In addition to self-defense, many of them offer kick-boxing.
Go from there.

im a senior, and im playing softball this year. i was wondering do u have to play alll for years of high school to qualilfy for a scholarship to college. even if you are good enough to get a scholarship.

It could be possible, but it is pretty competitive to get an athletic scholarship since each college team has a certain amount to give in athletic scholarships each year. Only Division 1 and 2 schools give athletic scholarships. You need to contact the softball coaches of the colleges you are interested in attending. Be prepared with your player stats. In addition, you need to register with the NCAA database. I will include some resources on this topic. Good luck!

How can I start off a sports article about a softball game?

im working in the sports section of the school news paper and im writing a story on a game the girls softball team just won

Start it with something catchy. What’s the team’s name? Start it with saying the team defeated the other by ____points. Was it a close game? Did the other team get pummeled? did any of the star players hit goalies?
Start it with something that has an impact and gets readers’ attention.
Like "The Cavaliers came out on top at last Friday’s game when they beat the Spikes 3-0."
