What sports have you played or you are doing right now for the season?

I have already did:
Track and Field
Soccer
Tennis ( classes)
For this season I am doing basketball, and I am going to start softball.
What sports are you doing?

Swimming/ swim team
Sorry I ment to put swimming/ swim team in the sports I already did section.

I’m playing basketball right now but that’s my sport and I’m dedicated to it. In the offseason, I don’t play organized sports, but I play backyard football sometimes, but still play basketball.

I live in Australia, I want a softball scholarship to Uni of Florida an i do my bachelor of Sports Journalism?

there too? I know its a long shot but hey gotta dream big. Maybe a double degree in arts and journalism do they have that over there, and how do i get recognized? I’m quite good,looking for Australian selection in a few years.

It might be tough since you live so far away, but something you could do is contact their coach or athletic director and fill out a recruitment form. Put in all your stats ( if they’re good) and awards you have won. It would also be great if you sent them a video of you playing softball so they could see how good you are. Just keep in touch with the coach and hopefully you will get the scholarship you want.

Does the store Academy Sports and Outdoors sell the new 2012 xeno softball bat?

Should I wear my engagement ring while doing sports and being active?

Does anyone have a good suggestion for what I should do about my engagement ring when I do sports (softball, mountain biking) and go to the gym? I worry about it falling off and have heard horror stories of rings getting lost or stolen. Some of my teammates hide their rings in the locker room or in their shoes – but I think this is just begging for trouble.

Why isnt Softball in the main sports section? I mean its just like baseball isn’t it? That’s just not right.! I’ve been playing softball for years but I’m only 15 & I pitch over 70mph ( at a college speed ). I would like to answer other peoples questions about softball.! : )

Because there are SOME similarities that baseball experts, that might not be wandering around in the softball section, could answer.

Is it a bad idea to get hip peircings if you play sports like softball and volleyball?

I play softball and volleyball and i snowboard but i wanna get my hips peirced but softball is coming up and im going to wait until softball is over and get them peirced in the summer, if i did get them peirced would they be healed by fall for volleyball season and next softball season. Would i be able to take them out for practice and games? And do they hurt when you get them done?

It’s a bad idea. And I really don’t think you can take out hip piercings dear.

Softball or sports in general training help?

On February 28th I have softball try outs for my school and I’m a freshman. I go to a school with 4500 kids. I really want to make the softball team. I’m pretty good but I want to get in shape for all the running and drills. What do you suggest I work on to get fit for the try outs and make myself look good?

If you want to work on conditioning you could do suicides and lots of running. I would suggest you keep practicing your throwing and making sure that you can catch. As long as you know the fundamentals you should be good.

Which is easier in high school sports team- Swimming or Softball? for girls?

Which one is easier to start from the beginning, practice, tryout and then stay in the team? You can choose different sport for four of these options.
I would be new to both. I like swimming a lot but its a lot of workout- which could stress me out. For softball, I would have to work in the sun, and I dont wanna get tan.

Out of the two you listed, it really depends on if you are more coordinated (softball) or muscular (swimming). For me, softball was easy in the beginning and practice. But swimming may be easier for tryouts because it isn’t as popular. It really depends on your area, what your better at, and other details.
