That is ridiculous they have every sport in the world but that.

pathetic answer in here. ignore the macho moron. the reason very confusing. media including this forum . have nothing but disrespect for women. one answer already proves this. softball woman’s sport . great athletes. called four networks last week. simple enquiry, very simple. asked why darts , hot dog eating , fishing , poker on t v . not women’s lacrosse . which in my opinion is the best sport on this planet. more than qualified to make this statement. since novice lacrosse year 1947. i could not get a answer . why. lot of stuttering. stammering. proved that tv and other media controlled forums such as this refuse to accept women as great athletes. in many sports equal. flex able sports superior. just pure blatant sexists bigots. proves that disrespect to women at its all time low.

Why do women get upset and wonder why they can’t play mens sports like michelle wie playing mens golf…and playing horribly i might add. thats just like saying why can’t men compete to play in womens golf tournaments, or play for womens pro soccer, play womens softball? People say if the women can qualify for men’s sports then they should be able to play…well i don’t think they should unless men have the opportunity to play womens sports. Please put some common sense into some of the women that want it to be a one sided affair!!! I want to hear all sides please…thanks

Good point precious…also why would women want to play in mens sports. like i said…put griffey in womens softball, tiger in the LPGA, or better yet put navratalova against ray lewis

Women cannot compete with men in a man’s sport. Anninka Sorenstan and Michell Wie are prime examples. O wait ladies, you have to play from the men’s tees in this game. WAAAH, they they suck and dont even make the cut.

Sure, golf is not a physical sport, but women cannot even compete there. The only sport that I give a chance to women is tennis. A women did beat a man in the 70’s, for the battle of the sexes tennis match. I think it was Martina Navratilova and John Mcenroe but I am not too sure.

Women in track. There is no contact in that sport, they should be alright.. right? No, look at world records. Look at how much faster the men run the 100 than the women. Long jump, shotput, discus, jevelin, 400… any track and field event. That shows that women just ARE NOT as athletic as men and cannot and should not play in a mans game.

Put any woman in the NFL, no matter the position. It is lights out for her. Women just cannot play in the NFL. Throw any all star into a WNBA game and they would dominate. Ever seen ‘Juwana Man"? I did, sadly. Put a decient men’s college basketball team against a playoff WNBA team, college guys would win.. and not a close game.

Im thirteen years old and i have always loved the sport softball. I am a soccer player though, which is almost the exacct opposite. Im afraid that i will make a fool out of myself if i even try. I no the rules and ways to play, but im afraid of being made fun of by my school mates, especially the good players. I dont know what to do. Please help!

Don’t worry. Softball is an awsome sport. and if you play soccer, you must be in shape bcuz you are already athletic. you are not too old to play. i started playing in 5th grade, and in 6th everybody on my team had played longer than me, and I’m fine. i did pretty good. and it was a different team to, i didn’t know anyone on the team. But if you are that afraid this is what you have to practice

I don’t play hockey or softball.

why will softball and baseball become a discontinued sport after bejing?

2008 is the last year for both baseball and softball.

In the 2005 IOC Commission in Singapore the members voted for the continuation of each sport. Baseball and Softball were the only sports from the 2004 programme that did not receive enough votes to remain in the program for the 2016 Games.

However both sports do remain in the IOC’s list of recognised sports, which means they may be again included in the Games as early as 2016
