Wow Animal Luvr, that was really offensive and maybe you should think about what you’re saying before you say something. To start with, I’m not lesbian and none of my teammates are lesbian. So that’s offensive that you said that it’s common for softball players to be lesbian because most aren’t. And I’m sure you upset some gay people by saying it’s a way for them to get hot and sweaty together. And it’s not just for tomboys and butches. Some of the preppiest people play softball.
It’s not a lesbian sport anymore. That was the stereotype ten to twenty years ago. Now it’s a sport that many people enjoy and most of which aren’t lesbian. And men play the sport, so are you going to call them gay for playing? Seriously…
I play shortstop in softball and im a setter and a back row hitter in volleyball. I got first team in softball and mvp in volleyball my junior high year. i live in a small town many people dnt get seen there.
Check around your small town first to see if there are any Club teams and if not, go to a bigger nearby city and perhaps it will have one you can join. If you play Club, you’ll get to travel around your state and play on the off-season of your school (if you’re in school) and Scouts from college will probably be there watching since Club is higher up than season high school vball. If you can’t find a club, maybe you could write to some colleges or go to big time tournaments and stick around to talk to some high-up people and maybe they can hook ya up.

I’m an avid softball player and I’m doing an essay on it…
My school doesnt offer softball, but I play it at the highest level in my province (Yeah I live in Canada LOL), So what are some good reasons to put in my persuasive essay?

My cousin is curious cuz she wants to play softball but is one of those girly girls who is grossed out by sweat lol

The sports are all womens sports.
Basketball, soccer, lacrosse, softball, volleyball
Well its a hard question to answer because each sport makes you use different skills. Basketball is more sprinting and leg strenght. Soccer is more endourance. Lacross, softball, and volleyball uses a lot of hand eye coordination. (Lacross also endourance and leg strength.) If i were to rank them from most athleticism to least i would say: lacross, soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball.

well depends on what your lookin for. soccer is a lot of runnin. i play in the fall for my school and during the winter/spring, indoor with some friends. its a lot of fun too. especially if your any good. if your coordinated and have good foot skills go for soccer. i’ve never played softball, but to me it seems like its more about friends and havin fun rather than competing. dont get me wrong soccer is a blast, but if ya play you gotta have a passion for it.
My softball team has came in 1st place 6 times and came in 2nd place 2 times. I am the main pitcher on my team. I can pitch 60 mph.

i have been playing softball since i was 5, and im 15 now. i get made fun of a lot by girls at my school for playing softball, and my whole life i have been called a dike because of what i play. i have never been on a team with a dike before, and the girls on my team now are boy crazy. why do people do this??
OMG the ppl at ur shcool are just stupid! sorry but it’s true. I am a cheerleader and played a year lol ok don’t laugh but I was too scared to acutally enjoy it and have fun. I know a typical cheerleader so go ahead and make fun of me. I had a friend (was the captain of the cheer team) girly just like me (ok way more and I am very girly). Anyway, it’s not a dike sport it’s a sport for the brave girls..just tell them that. It’s a sport for ppl who don’t mind pain and hard work and who knows what it takes to win (that was not me lol). It’s no game for a sissy I will tell you that much.
So, drop the haters. Ignore them and go on. You love the game so who cares. Dike or not it’s what you wanna do so do it. And they are VERY dumb for being so dumb lol….My gf is a softball player (c beyond me being lesbian) and plays for her school (College) I will tell you this much it’s intense and you HAVE to be good. It a game that takes a lot of skill and confidence (unlike me) but, I will also tell you this…they have a lot of girls who play and giess what….are NOT dikes. Some have babies and are even married!
So, the next time they hate let me. Throw it in their face of how wonderful it is and how your NOT gonna let me get to you. Tell them to look it up and see how many pretty and VERY girly girls play. Hope this helps you. Keep playing and loving the game.
This year I’m interested in playing softball and tennis. I can only choose one because the practices and games are going to be on the same day. I don’t know which one to choose! But hurry I have to know by tomorrow!
I would pick softball because it is well rounded and fun. Tennis is not really a team sport like softball is.
